Join Us for an Unforgettable Short Film Movie Night at the Guam Museum:

Mark your calendars for an extraordinary cinematic event at the Guam Museum Theater on Monday, July 10th and Tuesday, July 11th. Immerse yourself in the rich history of Guam through two captivating short films that explore the island’s resilience and heritage.

Featured Films:

War for Guam

Discover the compelling story of the Chamorro people during World War II. Despite enduring brutal Japanese occupation, the Chamorros remained loyal to the U.S. The film reveals the post-war struggle as the U.S. military stripped them of their ancestral lands. What began as a story of rescue became one of reoccupation and a new fight for justice.

Along the Ugum River

Based on true events from 1972, this gripping tale follows a CHamoru fisherman who discovers a Japanese soldier straggler. He faces a moral dilemma—should he turn the soldier in or seek vengeance for his family, who were victims of the Imperial Japanese Army during the war?
