Senator Antonio M. Palomo Guam Museum and CHamoru Educational Facility
a Division of the Department of CHamoru Affairs

I. HEALTH AND SAFETY DURING A PANDEMIC:
We understand that museums are places of gatherings, where people come to learn, give tribute, reflect, recognize, and celebrate significant moments in Guam’s history, and culture or in their personal lives. The museum includes a garden, courtyard, outdoor theatre, indoor theatre, multipurpose room, atrium, and park. Each area offers opportunities for people to come together and interact with one another over an extended period of time, therefore we aim to provide a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment to ensure the safety of visitors and staff while at the museum. We require advance reservations to tour the museum facility. This procedure allows us to:
1. Thoroughly clean and sanitize between scheduled arrivals and departures.
2. Limit capacity and prevent overcrowding.
3. Manage entrance and exit points.
4. Enforce 6’ for non-family groups; people who are not part of the same household must distance.
5. Ensure mask is worn to enter the museum and throughout the stay.
6. Conduct temperature checks upon arrival of each person; those with temperatures over 100.3 will not be able to enter the public facility.
7. Tours shall be scheduled one hour apart from each other. No more than 25 people per group, per hour.
8. Meetings or events: Multiple spaces in and around the museum may not be rented simultaneously. Capacity limitations apply for indoor gatherings, no more than 25 people and outdoor gatherings, no more than 100 people, this count encompasses visitors, vendors, and staff.
9. Self-service (buffet style or bar) and band with dance floor are prohibited at this time.
