Hasso: WWII CHamoru Survivors & Liberators” is a 134 page, 8.5 by 11 inch quality cover book by CHamoru and former Sinajana resident Johnny Cepeda Gogo, 56, a Superior Court judge in Santa Clara County, California, and recently nominated by President Joe Biden to be U.S. attorney for Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

The book will be launched on Guam July  15 2024  to coincide with the 80th Liberation Celebration.  “Hasso: WWII CHamoru Survivors & Liberators”  is published and designed by Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist and CHamoru documentarian Manny Crisostomo of San Francisco Bay Area Sanlagu Publications.

The book showcases images of the 111 CHamoru WWII survivors and military liberators who signed a Guam flag. It also features writings by Dr. Robert Underwood and an introduction by award winning investigative reporter Rob Perez, formerly of Santa Rita. The book was edited by former PDN and Latte editor Therese Padua Howe.
